new name for this awesome spot
Does the left after blue boat point and right before morgans point have a name? If not, It does now- broken pole pass. One day a friend and I was in that area. Tucs were bustin all around like crazy. Of course being a couple of rookies with lures, not much luck. So to make a long story short, super upset, my friend breaks his rod over his knee (like a pissed golfer does to his putter!) and flings it into the bushes! Hence the name........:O
Wow broken rod over the knee, INTENSE!!! I've tossed mine around a little bit in my frustration but never sent them to the graveyard, my rods and I have a complex relationship. Sometimes they are very good to me and I treat them nicely with lots of grease, new line, freshwater rinses, basically kind and tender loving. When they act up and I lose a few too many fish I smack em around a little bit on the bottom of my boat, but we continue to love one another after the day is done. I kiss my team diawa rods before I go to sleep every night and dream of a new and brighter day in the future where lots of fish are caught and the only pain felt is the pain of the fish realizing he has been tricked into biting my lures.

I think that straight away has been called the "pineapple field" (the north bank).
I've heard the south bank where the houses are called......
"Tuke Rock" the cornor by where the trucks are parked on top the hill.
"Bamboo" where the bamboo thicket is.
"Hanging Garden" where all the flowers and palm trees are just past the big tree.
I thought you were talking about that point on the right at the end of the straight away.... just before you can see Morgans Pt. I've seen several guys catching there lately.
Aloha,
Stan
