Stolen Boat Trailer

Postby Stan Wright » Mon Oct 22, 2007 5:59 pm

I would like to take this time to thank the Waheawa Police for their fast response, and the unknown, concerned citizen who called 911 to report my boat trailer being stolen in the parking lot at the lake. :D

Chris was fishing and ask me to take the boat home so he could go straight to work. I arrived at the parking lot, unlocked the trailer from his truck and hitched it to mine, then backed down the ramp and loaded the boat. Just as Chris and I were unloading rods and packing up..... the police arrived.

I'm always glad to have a police car around and appreciate the officers patrolling the area. It was kind of a shock to find they were investigating me. The officer commented about us swapping vehicles and we told them the story. That's when I realized someone had seen me moving the trailer and called the police. :?

Again, my sincere thanks to the concerned citizen for taking the time to get involved and call 911. Thanks again to the police for their quick response. :D :D :D
Together, we can "take a bite out of crime."

Mahalo,
Stan

Hey Stan, you should make a public thanks on Lets Go Fishing and let the public know to keep up the good work. It will show that the public cares and so do the police. The only difference is that this time, it was Stan stealing his own trailer

At first, just by reading the title, I thought someone did run away with your trailer.
