Today we worked the shoreline from Blue Boat Point around the north fork to Tukes Bay. Fish of every size from 1 to 3 pounds.... but no schooling fish. They were here yesterday. Where had they gone?
On the way in.... the guys at Blue Boat Point reported over 20 nice peacock bass in the hour they had been fishing.
On our way home by Boy Scout Island the water was boiling with fish. I cut the engine and Ian cast out this huge Zarra Spook. BAM...
the lure no more than touched the water and he was onto his largest fish of the day. Too close to 4 pounds to call it anything less.
Sticking to that old Cub Scout rule... "Quit while they are still having fun."..... We headed for the barn. An exciting time was had by all.
