Bass and peacock bass were chasing shad. They only stayed on the surface for a few seconds, and even then they were choosie. Best lure, a white Road Runner.
Some small peacock bass along the edges, but generally slow action. Water visibility was about a foot. Kind of greenish/brown looking. Water level is dropping, down about 8 or 10 feet. Water temperature 83 degrees, so things should have been more active. Didn't see but a few peacock bass or red devils along the shore. Those we did see were not that aggressive.
Other than that we had a good day out on the lake. Mark treated his Dad to a days fishing.... (Dad was using the Road Runner. He had a great day.)
