Visiting from Japan, Hiroyuki and his family took time off to visit the lake and try the peacock bass fishing.
The water has risen 4 or 5 more feet in the last 2 days and it was imposable to spot the spawning fish we had located last week. Some new spawners had moved into "shallower water" (I hope if the water level drops again... they are keeping the spillway drains open.... that these new nests are not left high and dry.)
Two kids fishing by Skunked's house were catching peacock bass using live bait.
The water temperature is in the 78 to 80 degree area and we spotted peacock bass and red devils swimming around by the hundreds. I guess they were more interested in spawning than feeding. Everything totally ignored our lures. The only fish action was spawners.
Aloha,
Stan

Hey, stay away from my dad's house! Just kidding. I just got back from Texas. I'm a married man now. I may try posting a picture of the fish I caught at Lake Fork when I have more time.
Good luck to everyone!
