9-17-11 Report
I didn't launch until about 4:30 or so. I tried out some plastics I got from Filthyfishermen. I caught a couple of LMB near the dam. One was tagged #4251. Weight: 1 lb. 8 oz. Length: 15". I started working my way north. Then about 5:30 pm, when I could first see Morgan's Point, I saw the white water splashes. Some fishermen already there gave us the signal to come join in on the action. The bass were chasing the shad up onto the banks and all throughout the bay on Morgan's southside. Some were close enough to see the black stripes on the Tucs as the raced along the topwater. My first two hook ups were the average sized LMB, then Tucs from there on out, the largest being 2 lb. 11 oz. They really were not concentrated in a school but single and double bust all over the area. It would have made for some great video!
