Today was the first day of the Hawaii Freshwater Fishing Associan "Tournament of Champions" The top 10 anglers determined by points have a fish off each Jan..

Fishing was good. Everyone caught fish and most weighed in a 3 fish limit. Mostly peacock bass, but several nice large mouth also.

I guess the rain not only raised the water level, but brought up the water temperature as well. Good water visibility all over the lake. What ever happened the fish were biting today.

We'll see how things go tomorrow. Only 1 pound seperates 1st and 2nd place.

Sunday, the second day, was better than the first... lots of fish caught... peacock bass... Average weight a little over 3 pounds. It's really nice to see everyone in the tournament catching fish. Almost every one limiting out. Hope to get the tournament results soon.
