DLNR and HFD on lake today

Postby asianmanofmystery » Sun Nov 14, 2010 7:27 pm

I saw the DLNR Police boat, fully staffed, ride in and out past BSA at about 3:30pm today. On the way, out an HFD boat followed shortly after them. The HFD boat was also fully occupied and also carried several female passengers wearing "Police" jackets and carrying cameras. Anyone know what was going on?

I was fishing from shore and both DLNR and HFD were kind enough to leave me with the most generous amount of wake I have received to date.

A dead body was found up the North fork so they probably overlooked lake etiquette when they passed by you.

The Honolulu Fire Department was assisting the Honolulu Police Department and the Honolulu Medical Examiner's Office in the recovery of a body found near the Karsten Thot Bridge in Wahiawa.

Fire Capt. Earle Kealoha said the department was alerted by police at 12:05 p.m.

The body of a male, face down in mud on the banks of the waterway, was recovered by boat.

That's where all the homeless moved after they were evicted from the South Bridge. I notices several "boats" along the shore where they cross the lake to get onto the Town side. All the urban outdoorsmen are camped on the north side of the lake on both sides of the bridge.
