Check out these artificial structure you can buy and pay for being shipped here. Too heavy of a price tag for me. I'll be making one run of these artificial structures for a fraction of the cost. I figure when they drain the lake really low, that would be prime time to set up some artificial structure. Only you will know where they are, and where the fish are! Unless you use bouys to mark their locations. My construction will be forgiving to any trolling or main motor that may plow thru them. THey will also be environmentally safe as well, no rusty pipes or metal to contaminate our water.
This store sells them for around $125.00-135.00 plus shipping and they suggest using at least 3-4 in a row. THat can get pretty pricey. I'm not looking to make my next mortgage payment off of these, but cover the cost of the materials, my time, and some beer. I'm thinking I can produce the Honeyhole shrub for about 1/4th of what they are selling in the mainland for.
If you're iterested in purchasing a few, let me know soon. If you're a bank fisherman, I'm willing to help place them out via boat if thats where you want them. If the lake gets back down to last years level, you can just walk it out to where you want it.

I was just about to say the same. Do your friends a favour and take the old Christmas tree off them. Trim off the small branches, tie a rope around the trunk and attach a cinder block to it...and put them in the lake
Sure...tree will deteriorate...but you can always add a few more over the years to replace the rotten ones. And after a while, you will have quite a few cinder blocks on the bottom also to serve as structure
