So lost In my methods

Postby pogigod » Wed Jun 23, 2010 2:10 pm

We'll first off I should introduce myself. My name is Matt and I'm from New Jersey. Been fishing all my life mostly freshwater. I'm normally quite proud in my fishing skills, normally never get skunked, and always know where to find the fish.......

I've fished in the lake about 40 times now. The only times I saw anything ranging from a hit to a catch was a few months ago when the lake was at an extreme low water level. And when i did fish at those levels i caught about 5 or 6 an hour. Now that the water level has gone up again i have yet to even have something follow my lures in.........

I'm Looking for some help or advice, maybe looking to see if anyone wants to come out fishing with me to show me the grounds for the lake. The spots I have been fishing at is around Wilikina. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have used a wide verity of rapella's, spinners, and spoons.... So far I've only fished from shore, But I know the locations I've been casting and fishing are decent spots because I've seen large peacock bass swimming in the shallows causing the baitfish.

All advice is greatly appriciated

Go check out some of the recent post in the fishing report section. You will see that you are not alone in your frustration at the lake. Hopefully the fishing will get going again soon !
