Got on the water around 1:30 and fished till 6:00. Water temp 68, strong, cold, north wind. Shane got several largemouth and one smallmouth. He got chases from several peacock bass and hooked 2 or 3. I got some chases from peacock bass... 2 hook ups.... "sportsmans release"
Saw red devils, but nothing I offered interested them.
We weren't looking for spawners, but they are there. Talked with a guy who has caught several since the water came up. Just have to go slow and look close to shore. He said he's taken several every time he's been out. Chris was catching spawners before the rains came.
