The first thing that I want to make sure of is, that you are aware the following fact. We have had no clients harmed, threatened or kidnapped by anyone in Mexico while on a fishing trip to Anglers Inn on Lake El Salto or Lake Baccarac Lodge on Lake Baccarac during the 2008/2009 or 2009/2010 season. There have not been any cases of the swine flu either. Over the past eighteen months, my daughter, my son in law, grand son in laws, best friends and myself have been to Lake El Salto and Lake Baccarac several times. I certainly would not be taking them if I thought they were going to be in harms way. We do not drive. We fly from the U.S. and land in Mazatlan or Los Mochis.
Lake El Salto is like the "Energizer Bunny"; it just keeps going and going. You can see current fishing reports from Lake El Salto for the 2009/2010 season by double clicking on http://www.radersfishandgame.com/elsalt ... eports.asp. As you can see the fishing is very good and should get better as the season goes on. My favorite months to fish in Mexico are late May and June. During that time period, the lakes will be at their lowest level of the season, the nets will be out and the irrigation will be over making the lake level steady. I will be at Lake El Salto June 5th through 14th, 2010. I have made this trip almost every year that Anglers Inn has been open. I have never had a bad trip in June. Some have been better than others, but never a bad one. I would welcome the opportunity to host you while I am there. If that is not a good time for you, I don't think you can go wrong, if you plan a fishing trip to Lake El Salto April through July.
You can see current fishing reports for Lake Baccarac on http://www.radersfishandgame.com/baccar ... report.asp. You can see from the fishing reports that Lake Baccarac has rebounded completely from the effects of the direct hit that it took from the hurricane in October 2008. The numbers are back and numerous bass over 10 pounds are being caught. I will be at Lake Baccarac May 9th through 14th.
You can still go commercial from the U.S. to Los Mochis. The road is now paved from Los Mochis all the way to the Lodge. The airstrip in Bacoburito has been repaved and will accommodate all private planes. We still have charter service for eight anglers from Ft. Worth TX, Amarillo TX and Phoenix AZ.
Please call us ASAP at 800-371-3524 if you have an interest in a great fishing trip to either one of these great Lakes
