Hay Skunked, Is Clint Wright (no relation) the guy you fished with last time? This is an interesting report on catching spawning bass. http://www.frontporchnewstexas.com/lake ... 012510.htm

I fished with Rick Loomis my last two trips.

Hi Stan, I have tried at least two times to book Clint Wright. With a name like Wright, he has to be good, right!? He's always been already booked, so I never got to fish with him. He is known as one of the top guides on Lake Fork. He seems like a really good guy too, a family man. Maybe this year....
Wow, that guy Rick Loomis has a much lower rate than other guides! How was he as your guide? Something to think about.
The guides I have been with so far:
Tom Redington
Larry Barnes
Jimmy Everett (not guiding anymore, now a cop)
2 out of these 3 were super. That's all I'll say about that.
Still trying to figure out if we can afford a guided trip this year and if we can squeeze it into our shortened vacation this year. I got my rods waiting in storage at my in-law's house in Houston.

Rick's place is south of Yantis and has a a motel and several mobile homes for people to stay. Each motel room has a garage with a charger for your boat. :D He has lots of guys who trailor in their boats from all over to fish the tournaments. They do the Pre-fish day guided by Rick.

What's great is the showers... when Rick was fishing the tournaments he stayed in lots of motels and the showers were always to small for him. So when he designed his place, he made the shower as big as the average size bathroom. You can walk in with all your rods, turn on the water and there is lots of room where you can stand and not get wet.
Huge, I loved it.
