Fun Thursday

Postby Stan Wright » Thu Oct 22, 2009 6:44 pm

It was a very fun day for Jamel... he landed two nice peacock bass.
(2 1/2 and 2 3/4 pounds) We tagged them,
so you guys be on the look out.
(that point over by Condo Cliffs...... "P" on the lake map)

John and I caught almost a hundred peacock bass today.....
and the total weight would not have equaled the 3 fish Jamel caught.
(Fish in photo may appear larger than actual fish)

All of our peacock bass were less than 6 to 9 inches in length.....
but they were still fun on a super light fly rod or spinning rod.
That bubble rig works like a charm.

Jamel also caught another of those wierd color things too..... all on live bait.

We had a very fun relaxing day on the lake.

Thurs. evening was a good day for me as well. Fished from 4:30-6:00 pm. I caught 14, my partner caught 10! (live bait) And I got to drink two beers! 8) So the beers didn't interfere with the fishing, and the fishing didn't interfere with the beers!

Largest was just over 4 pounds. Mostly 2 1/2 pound size.
