7-7-10 Report

Postby roadwarriorsvt » Wed Jul 07, 2010 9:28 pm

BBP was occupied so went to Morgan's. Didn't catch a single peacock, even with the live bait! Ended up trolling around the main basin and near BSA Island. We ended up catching six 10" LMB! No peacocks. Dunno whats up with the Tucs. Any guesses? The water level has come up slightly but I wouldn't think that would kill the action.

Fished from 8 to 2 on Wed and we only caught 2 small peacock bass. (under 12 inches) Caught lots of bluegill and small largemouth . Didn't see harlsy any red devils. Caught 5 nice catfish on live bait.

I think Chris caught 8 or 10 small peacocks on live bait all day.

After 4, Chris took Duggie and his friends back to BB Pt. and they caught 5 or 6 small ones.

I don't know what happened to the peacock bass lately. I did see 5 BIG, I mean BIG one swimming around. They slowly swam over to the live bait.... but wouldn't take it.
