Best bang for your buck IMO is a shimano symetre. I've had those for years and they've always performed well. I think the

I have a Sustain and a Fuego both are super nice. The Sustain feels more solid but the fuego is definitely lighter. I'd be hard pressed to say which one is better. Like em both.

The Shimano Sahara is nice too, I've haven't owned one but I've fished with my friends for a day.

And you can't forget the Daiwa Tournament SS....just read some reviews.

Now one thing I'd throw out there from my experience is...... Having a kick a$$ reel is nice and all, but a kick a$$ rod will catch you more fish. Just my opinion.
