As I was passing Boy Scout Island, this young man flagged me down and ask if I knew what kind of fish he had caught.
Punju, snake head. Watch out for those teeth.
Wonder what he caught it on?

Best tasting fish in Lake wilson
BEST TASTING FISH IN LAKE WILSON ! For all of you who never caught even cooked and ate one of these. GREAT eating like mahimahi. But strange looking prehistoric bone structure.
Never fish down wind of someone using chopsticks and wearing surgical gloves, trying to bait their hook.
Amen to Pongee being the most ono tasting fish in the lake. When I first started fishing Lake Wilson 30 years ago the Pongee were everywhere and considered a pest. Bass fishermen did not appreciate them mangling their expensive lures with their numerous teeth. I'm gone on Maui for 12 = years and now the Pongee are rare as hens teeth and the lake is over run with Red Devils. I wonder if there's a connection. SciFi Channel could never make a hokey movie about them over here.
