Tuesday the water level was way down. Around the 10 foot below full (at 80 feet... the water goes over the spillway)
here is what that cove by the boat ramp looked like. This picture was take from the road looking south to the ramp.


I took this picture standing on the ramp. See the guy fighting the fish? He landed a 3 to 4 pound peacick bass.


All the muddy points held baitfish. We could see the peacock bass chasing them in the shallow water. We had action on white, 2" Sinkos.
I saw other boats catching along the shore and some schooling fish.

Mostly small peacock bass less than 2 pounds. The water temperature was 73 to 74 degrees and I guess that slowed the action down a bunch.
Chris even tried live bait on Wed, but that didn't make that much difference. When the water temperature drops, those "tropical fish" tend to slow down. Me to... LOL


Here's Mikes largest fish of the day... a 15 1/2 inch, 2 1/4 pound peacock bass. It was a tagged fish, #3928, caught by Mikimiki Flats on a white, 2" Senko and 4# test line.
(I tagged this fish on 24 March 08.... 8 months ago... when I tagged it the fish was 13 1/2 inches long and weighed 1 1/2 pounds.)

Yes it is... I took more pictures today. It's neat to see all those hot spots where we caught fish now that there is no water there.

By the way, the water level has dropped at least 2 feet or more in the last 2 days.
