I took a trip to British Columbia and Alberta, Canada between August 8th to August 25th, 2008. The bulk of this trip consisted of a 14-day road trip fishing BC. In total, we drove over 5700km from Coquitlam, to Terrace, Tumbling Ridge, Cache Creek, Hope, Chilliwack, Fernie, Red Deer, Drumheller and Calgary. Although the fishing was less spectacular than expected, it was still very good. The company was A+ and the scenery was astounding. I also spent a few days with a couple of friends in Calgary at the end of my trip.
To make a really long story very short (and I am actually in the process of writing the long story), I’ll just show you some pictures of the fish caught.
My first chum salmon from the Kitimat River at about 15lbs. (Day 3)
My first salmon on the fly rod from the Kitimat River at about 20lbs. (Day 4)
My first pink salmon from the Skeena River at 5lbs (Day 4)
My first dolly varden from an unnamed river at 11in (Day 5)
A beautiful coho salmon from the Skeena River at 6lbs (Day 6)
A sea run bull trout from the Skeena River at 15in (Day 6)
An arctic grayling from an unnamed river at 12in (Day 7)

A nice rainbow trout from Thompson River at 18in (Day
A northern pikeminnow from the mouth of the Fraser River at 12in (Day 10)
