Blue Boat Point action was kind of slow, so after lunch moved to the saddle between Boy Scout Island and shore. Water is way low.

Just drifted up against the saddle and started tossing out live baits into the deeper water. Lots and lots of peacock bass. Strikes as soon as the bait hit the water... used about 100 live bait. Left early... tired.

Sounds good Stan! tomorrow will be my first day out on the lake in over 6 months. I've been itching to fish the lake, especially since I've been staring at my basstracker in my parking stall for the last month I've been back on Island. Spent the past few hours getting my gear/boat together. Now I just gotta knock the rust off my rods (and me) and stretch my lines!

I really love it when the tucs are schooling around that saddle, it's like a little honey hole! 98% of the time I fish with lures/flies and I found the boy scout island in one of my most productive and reliable areas. It has the big long point, the saddle a good shallow to deep drop around the island, grass and timber.....what more could a bass fisherman ask for? Somedays I will make several circles around the island, and almost always get at least 1 per round.
