This week we're seeing lots of big peacock bass all around the lake. Two here, two there. Looks like they are geting ready to spawn. At the moment they not holding to a nesting spot and are not very interested in eating.... anything.

Clay feels that with the return of the Trade Winds, the fishing action will only improve. On Wednesday the fish seemed a little more aggressive. We caught fish up to a little over one pound in just about every place we fished. Again, we saw peacock bass of all sizes, some that had to weigh 6 or 7 pounds..... but they were just not feeding like the smaller ones.

It was a wonderful action packed day on the water.

Hey Stan, why does Clay feel that the return of the tradewinds will make fishing better? I prefer calm, glassy days because I like to sight fish. Having fished from a boat a few times I noticed it is hard to postion the boat and make accurate casts.

I agree, this wind has been blowing me all over the lake. On the other hand the peacock bass have started schooling pretty activly the last few days.

I think the change from a south wind and vog to a trade wind helped the fishing... I was thinking more of "gentle trade winds" insted of the strong gusty trades we have now.
