Muddy Water... slow action

Postby Stan Wright » Sat Feb 09, 2008 7:05 pm

The water looks like coffee with cream in it......

I spoke with several people and the action was way slow all over the lake. Just a few small bass. Spinnerbaits, jerkbaits and live bait. Water is going over the dam. It's muddy and visibility is about 1 or 2 inches. Water Temp 69. I didn't hear of anyone who caught a peacock bass. It was a very long day...... Think I'll watch TV fishing shows for a few days till things clear up a bit.

Hey Stan- the action got a little better on Sat after out conversation by the pineapples fields- or broken pole pass as we call it. Got a few 1lb. ers on kastmasters and a couple tinys on flys. We lost a couple of biggies though- maybe 3-4# one on fly, line broke, lost fly-damn. and the other on castmaster- huge spash at the surface about 18 inches from the boat, scared the **** out of us. came off near the surface.

Sunday- a whole nother story. very short- caught 1 tiny tuc. sad.
