Morgans Pt. Action

We were working our way around Tuke Bay when we saw Ryan hook up another fish over by Morgans Pt. Then Jessie yelled: "Look at that"! The water around Ryan's boat seemed to be boiling. We headed over. Ryan hooked and landed two more fish before we could cross the lake.

His lime green fly line snaked out against the wind.... straightened...... then seemed to hover 4 feet above the water before lightly touching down. Ryan striped the line twice and then raised the rod sharply. Another fish. The limber flyrod arched over as the peacock bass took line then erupted into the air with a splash. The water around the boat still boiled as hungry peacock bass slashed at schools of small shad on the surface of the water.

Ryan saw we were using spinning tackle and suggested we try a tiny gold CastMaster. He was cut short as another fish smashed his fly.

We fished the area for about 2 hours. The action was fantastic (but that's another story)

I have no idea how many fish Ryan caught, but I will say that for those two hours he was hooked up every time I looked his way.
Aloha,
Stan
