Chris and friends caught over 50 peacock bass on Wed... Not that many schooling fish, mostly working the shoreline in the Boy Scout Island area.
They were fly fishing.

Chris and I went out for about 3 hours on Thur. Again, no schooling fish, but as the afternoon wore on and the water temperature rose to 84 degrees.... we started seeing and catching some larger fish.

Excellent guy's!

Sounds like I'm going to have to invest time on the fly rod.

Just when I joined the Dark-side and became a devoted live-baiter (Is there any other way to fish  ) I just might have to learn to use the "long rod, with the pretty little flies"

Very seldom, you come upon a sweet honey hole (lake wilson) and find fishing ever this good. Just the sheer number and the quality of size is totally awesome.

Looking forward to heading back that way, later September, and pursuing the famous "Tucs".

I was just trying out some new flys... Chris was catching with the spinning rods... we only used lures... no live bait.

Stan,

I made some epoxy head flies the other day, with crystal flash and white marabou also put some big eyes on em, seemed to work quite well. Gotta tie up some more now.
