Thank You, Thank You, Thank You....
A big Mahalo for all the help today. Brock, Cal, Alec, Darren, Neal, Linda, and I were able to collect Samples of Peacock bass from the North Fork and the area from Boy Scout Island to the Dam. The 36 sample fish averaged about 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 pounds with the largest just under 4 pounds. They totally ignored my live bait.... all but one fish was taken on lures. All we need are 18 fish from up on the South Fork to complete the study. Plans are pending.

"Above and Beyond Award" goes to Darren who hiked into Morgans Point around 6:30 am and had 18 peacock bass before 9:00. All caught on lures and all caught from shore. WOW

Stan, just out of curiousity, what were the results from the health department survey?

Annette has a stack of papers about 3 feet high... She is in the process of translating the scientific language in the reports into something the average fisherman like me can understand.

It's just one of many plates she is trying to juggle at the moment.

Aloha Stan, You know if you need a volunteer for the South Fork mission I am ready, willing, and able, and on call with just a moments notice. I am willing to make this great sacrifice for the cause, and would be honored to join the mission.

Sorry to bring back such an old topic, I thought they would have published the results by now. Poor Annette, sounds like a lot of work.
