Tucs Going crazy!

Today started out a little slow, from 730-1030 we had only caught about 4 fish mostly around Boy Scout Island. Then it started to get going at the main basin, in about 2 hours we had caught 35-40 tucs varying in size but most small(10-14 inches) with a few larger tucs. It seemed every other cast myself or my buddy had a fish on. Once those fish slowed down we headed to Morgans Point/Tuc Bay where the tucs were busting hard, but most were out of casting range. The only down part of the day was when my outboard died on me for the second time out in a row!!!! Whoever towed me back thanks a lot. I don't know how long it would have taken to paddle back with my fish net. Next time I wont forget my paddles. Most of the fish were caught on small white flies.

I understand the live bait action around Morgans Point is really picking up.
Seems like the more people that are fishing there, the faster the action. I guess the peacock bass are hanging around waiting to be fed.

Nice to hear you guys are doing well. For my first time fishing in over a month, I fished from the bank near boy scout for only about an hour. Saw a big tuc, but it wasn't biting. The only fish I caught was a very skinny 7" bass.
At least I got to finally test out my new yellow Daiwa Pixy reel and I wasn't disappointed. Hopefully, I get to test the drag next time by catching a fish!
Good luck to everyone!

If tucs grow as fast as I hear these smaller ones that are schooling should give you a good drag test in a few months
