I wanted to thank everyone that was out at the tournament on Sunday. I had a great time TRYING to catch some bass at Lake Wilson. I especially would like to thank Lance for allowing me to ride along with him in his boat.

How was the fishing? I'd like to try, if the weather improves.

yeah.. how was the fishing? What were they being caught on? I've been out there twice and have been skunked both times.. maybe because I was fishing from the shore?

Crank baits that day seemed to be key

Lm bass fishing from shore is tough in Lake Wilson. Better to go from a boat. Peacockbass fishing is actually better from shore, the main problem being access. As the years have gone by, access to the lake gets less and less. Sm bass fishing is best done in the streams.

caught a small peacock this past weekend.. but nothing else.. fish were busting up the topwater.. no real top water bite.. couldnt tell if they were bass or something else.. there was so much debris in the spot i was fishing i could barely get a retrieval without having something hanging off of my lure/plastic worm..

Went this past Saturday in the afternoon from 17:00 to about 18:15. Water was somewhat murky in some spots. Looked pretty dead. Saw a few tucs. Caught 6 tucs. One was about 2 pounds and the rest were under a pound. I missed some decent size fish. The ones over a pound were on wood, the smaller ones seemed to be out in the open. Fish felt really cold, like they were coming out of the refrigerator. Maybe the middle of the day is better.
