Those are some nice sharp photos of a nice fish! You really should strip all the Vanish off of your reels and burn it though! That line should not even be on the market.

Nice ones Lrry93. It looks as if the adults are still spawning. Out of curiosity, was the last one guarding a fry ball?
I hear all kinds of stuff about Vanish line, but for whipping it works reallly well. My friends and I have landed some large fish while whipping for akule and halalu. I landed a 4 pound kahala on two pound test vanish line.
I went down to the lake yesterday (the first time in two months) for a couple of hours. I caught several small ones. One of those 10 inchers was starting to develope a lump on his head! The few adults I came across were spawning. I saw two black tucs and one floater, I guess there are some sickly ones still around.

No, I caught all of them up in the timber. I didnt see any cruising with fry.
I have had alot of issues with Vanish as it gets a couple months old. I think I am done with the fluocarbon lines. The dont hold up as well as mono.

I've noticed a few things about the vanish, I do break of fish every now and then (Usually with my more expensive lures too
). I think mostly it's because it doesn't stretch. On the other hand, it doesn't get nicked up and frayed as bad as mono and is a lot more sensitive. I guess everything has it's pro and cons. Maybe one day there will be a perfect line.
