Water temperature was 83 degrees and the peacock were active, especially the ones under one pound. LOL The water level was up by 5 feet and the bait was scattered in the grass. What was a mud flat yesterday loaded with red devils and tiny tukes..... was way under water today.
We still found the peacock bass in the timber. Any place a tree fell in the water, was a hiding place for the baby peacocks. (The red devil fishing was tough.... they were still deep and hard to see.) We hooked several large peacock bass, but didn't land any. Camera shy fish I guess.
It's nice to see the larger fish more aggressive and chasing and striking our flys.
Here are some pictures of Ken... we had a nice relaxing day on the water.
Aloha,
Stan

"Why let the truth stand in the way of a good fish story?"
Wow! You are fast Stan! I just had time for a shower and dinner
Thanks for the awesome day Stan! The willingness of the small tucs was unreal...sometimes scary! The red devils on the other hand...
Maybe we can get a few more of the big ones to strike the fly...and I'll try harder to keep them hooked
Stan didn't mentioned the estimated 4lb tuc that took him into the submerged tree. Boy was that one a surprise!
There was also a tuc estimated at about 2lb that came rushing up just to nipped at the tail of my streamer fly...and another one that just came to stare and then left.
