More peacock bass

Postby Stan Wright » Fri Aug 09, 2013 7:39 pm

:D
Lots of peacock bass today... So many I lost count.
I was using a small gold fly on the Tenkara rod.
Most of the peacock bass were around this size... "under 10 pounds".

Another of the "under 10 pound" size peacock bass.

There were lots of largemouth bass around this afternoon too.
They were also in the "under 10 pound" size range.

There was one peacock bass that gave me a hard time...
this one was 2 1/2 pounds.

Jeff and Shane were doing "research" on a new lure...
They must have figured it out. I saw them landing quite a few fish.
All the fish I saw them catch were over 2 pounds.

I never did catch a red devil... had several on but just couldn't get them in the boat.
This nice bluegill took the fly away from an RD I was trying to catch.

Sounds like a great day out on the lake!
