Mell called and ask if I was doing anything today... If I wanted to go fishing, he'd buy lunch. Mel, where did you get that fantastic garlic shrimp?

We were leaving the ramp around 2 pm and Jeff pulls in to leave. Said there was a little schooling action down by the dam, but otherwise really slow. As Mel and I got the boat in the water... Opy pulls in. Same story. A little schooling.

Just before BSA Island they were schooling... Lots of casts, no fish. We moved to around Kemoo Island more scattered schooling, but short duration and out of casting distance. They were breaking by Blue Boat Pt. so I hooked on a live bait and headed over. More schooling and Mel hooks a 2 1/4 pound peacock.

We started catching fish on live bait at the point. Mostly Peacock bass in the 2 to 2 1/4 pound size.

And this...

As more people arrived and started fishing, the action heated up.
Seems like the more people that are fishing, the more active the fish become.

Didn't even net the first fish and already there was another fish on.

Grand father and grand daughter... a trip they will always remember.

Hey Stan,

Thanks for the afternoon trip. Caught a few, weather was perfect, a nice afternoon.

Met up with Jim, Amy and grand-daughter. Great folks, seemed most of the fish ended up on their side of the boat :)

It's been about a year and a half since our last trip. Thanks again for taking me fishing, and telling old fish stories.

Oh yah, the garlic salt and pepper shrimp was way ono! I can't believe the food so good!! Can't recall the name of the little diner, its next to the subway shop at that little shopping mall in Wahiawa. Check it out!!

Anyone know the name of the little restaurant were talking about?
It's on California Av.... south side of the street.... next door to the Subway.
A Chinese restaurant ? I just don't remember, but the food was so good... that I do remember.

I think that's Wok & Grill...

Had two different noodle dishes there and was happy with it. Did the shrimp have the shells on?
