6/16 shore fishing

We started out today fishing the shore line trying to throw krocodile spoons and kastmasters with red milk caps cut into tear drops to imitate the blood drop on the krocodiles. We started out on the east side of the army housing area and started to work towards Kemo'o Farms. We didn't do to well for a long time. when followed the trail as far as it would go and went around the main point past the island. We finally spotted a few peacocks schooled under some fallen trees. We gave up casting and started jigging. We were tapping the bottom and slowly pulling back up. As soon as it left the bottom they hit. I realized that they are not very accurate hunters. We had A LOT of missed attacks. We came up with hits from about 7-8 different fish total. They are very persistent. If you catch them and they throw the hook, they came right back to hit it again. I successfully landed 3 of the fish. The last one snapped my microspin like a twig. I still got to land him though. Notice the look of disgust on my face. I also ran into a couple other guys on boats having little luck. Just before we called it a day we noticed a few schooling groups feeding on the surface. No luck getting them to bite though. I am noticing that this lake is really rough to fish from shore. From other fisherman I'm also seeing a pattern of the lake being a totally new beast and is giving troubles to most. I don't feel so bad getting skunked on some days. Here are the pics of the Tucs.
