Well, i made it out on Sunday to get some fishing time in. I had never been to the lake before, we went to the boat ramp area and followed a path back to a long penninsula area. We didn't have to much luck however i caught 2 largemouths and a small Tuc. We used a white roadrunner and caught the tuc and the largemouth were taken early around 6:45 to 7:15 on a Zarra Spouk about 2 to 4 feet from the shore. I lost another largemouth due to it spitting the spook back at me. Also it was raining off and on. Didn't see to much else in the line of Tucs not sure exactly what i was looking for. Was a good time over all. We drove around the lake looking for more access points, but it is hard to get ont he lake it would seem from the shore. If anyone has any information as to spots to access from shore would be much appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I see people fishing at #11, Masonic Temple, #10, Kunia Point, all along the shore around to #13, Mikimiki Flats. Accross the lake at #14, Mikimiki Flats. (I don't know where they walk in from.)

Behind Kemoo Farm there is a trail going down to the lake. Enter beside Military Tenting. #18.

The city owns that point of land (#20 Benny's Hole). They are cutting trees there now. You have to park on the street and there is a gate in the chain link fence. All that point is good fishing. I hear they are thinking of making it a fishing park??????

Rose Street Slough #1 is good fishing. I've never fished it from shore, only a boat. I have no idea what the water level is there now.
Since the water level is down so much there are many more areas fishable from shore.

See Map (please feel free to save the picture to your computer and make copies. If it's too small a file, let me know and I'll email you a larger file.)
Aloha,
Stan
