my smallmouth adventure

Postby marcusn » Sun Jul 24, 2011 4:27 pm

went to do some hiking through the lake wilson inlet stream. water was flowing just right and the smallmouth were very active. caught 14 all together, most of them around 8 inches but got a couple around a foot. top lures today included a silver mepps and a trout mini jig in green. here are some pics

Wow! Thats a lot of SMB, even if they were small. Catching is always fun. Was that at the top of California Ave.? I'd love to check this area out.

ya it was sort of near the california ave. spot. i hike more downstream though. its pretty cool shaking that mini jig in front of a rock and having a smallie come out of the rocks and grab it!
