I am New here. Just wanted to know if you could eat the fish out of Lake Wilson.

Ooohhh, you are gonna get a lot of different opinions on that one! Just remember that Peacock Bass, Largemouth Bass, and Smallmouth Bass are strictly catch and release. It is something like a $250 fine per fish if you are caught poaching. Check this link:

I don't really like eating fish, so it is a non-issue for me. I think the catfish from the upper parts of the lake should be good.

Skunked is spot-on. All bass and Tucs are catch & release. I've filleted many a catfish from the north fork and they are fine to eat. While the bluegills are good eating, ours are quite small and not worth the hassle of cleaning, IMO.

Helped the state do some testing of the fish in Lake Wilson
a few years ago...
About the catfish... it's OK to eat the fillets.
DO NOT eat the head or the guts.
