Shane's Excellent Adventure

I can't believe how much he loves that Buzz Bait... well, now I can.

The strikes he was getting on the buzz bait were larger fish... the 3 to 5 pound size. Largemouth and peacock bass. Getting them into the boat was another story. I mean right up close, almost into the net... and at the last second they would come unbuttoned.

Many other times there would be a a huge splash and the lure would come flying through the air... we'd duck for cover. (remember what I said about "don't set the hook, just keep reeling"?)

It was a wild afternoon. Shane kept me busy tagging and writing.
We only tag the ones over 12 inches...
Check this out Tommy...

All I can say Whoosh and cuss, cuss, cuss until I finally broke the curse of not catching a Tuc. :D Next time Stan I will make sure my drag is set so I don't have anymore sportsman release.

I'm sure you wouldn't have caught all those fish if I'd hopped in the boat! Thanks for the info Stan. That is a great start!

:D
Tackle Tip

Before you use your new fishing reel... adjust the drag and the casting break.
It might be a good idea to take a screw driver and make sure everything is tight too.

For shame Stan, shame, shame,shame!

I love fishing Buzzbaits!!! What size were the ones he was fishing? I brought my huge double blade ones out from Cali and was wondering if I should give them a go...

Thanks
