Monday was cloudy and the largemouth bass were kind of schooling and chasing shad on the surface. Mostly they were just swimming around and not doing that much splashing... so Wendell and Chris started blind casting in the middle of the lake... 24 largemouth bass later (he didn't say how many peacock bass they caught) and several larger size peacocks including this 5 pounder... they called it a day and went to lunch.

Wendell didn't say how long it took him to land a 5 pound peacock bass using 4# test ultra-lite spinning tackle.

On Tues & Wed I found the bass in the middle of the lake where Chris said they would be, but they were not as active as on Mon. But then it wasn't cloudy as it was on Mon.... and the water temperature was 73 degrees today too.

Now I would never come right out and ask what lures they were catching them on, but I would ask what lures were on their poles when they came back in?

I know when the bite is "ON", they'll hit pretty much anything!

Senko, 2", Cream White, one each.
(You know that those little 2 inch Senkos are so lite that you just about have to use 4# test ultra-lite spinning tackle to throw them?)

Ask, all they can do is say no.
