Hong Kong fish ponds

Friend from a Hong Kong fishing website invited my dad and I to fish a couple of fish ponds. These are ponds that were stocked with saltwater fish that caters to anglers only. For $70/day, you could fish from 8am - 9pm. The ponds were stocked with various species but our main target was red drum and barramundi.
Unfortunately, we just had a severe cold front that swept through China. The temperature in Hong Kong dipped to 2C in some remote areas. Well...that meant there was a fish kill with the barramundi as they were tropical fish, and the red drum were more or less shut down
We fished most of the morning at one pond with my friends landind one and losing two. I don't have a picture of the fish landed since they were on the other side of the pond.
My dad and I had a couple of light taps but that was it.
We moved to the other pond at about 11am. We fished for an hour and my friend Louie landed one red drum that was 7lbs.
We had lunch at about 1pm and rested for a bit. At about 2pm, we got back to it. Instead of sticking to fishing articificial, my dad and I and my friend Raymond decided to fish deadbait for a bit...and my dad and I started getting some action.

At about 4pm, we got tired of catching these fish. We were hoping to catch a pompano or some bream...but those fish didn't seem to be in a biting mood. With the water being warmed by the sun all day, we switched back to articificial for the last 2 hours (we had to leave by 6pm). Just after dark, we saw red drums swimming in the shallows but they were not in a feeding mood. The two my dad and I saw were easily 10lbs!
Oh well...at least we got some action and I added another species to the list
I'll get those barramundi next time...during the summer when they are on fire!
