Stocked Bass

Postby Stan Wright » Wed Nov 17, 2010 8:45 pm

Well, I went by the lake today to see how the
little bass are doing. The ones they put in the lake last Sunday.

They were hiding in the grass along the shore.
They seemed in good shape.
I don't think this one was really pleased to have
his picture taken. Or it might have been that he "felt the steel",
and missed a meal.

The little peacock bass were also out in numbers...

Saw lots of BIG peacock bass... the 3 to 5 pound size...
but I was using 4# test and knew there was no way
to land those bigg'uns on my little Tenkara rod.
While I was landing this little guy a huge peacock bass tried to eat it.

I did speak with some fishermen who did land
some 3 and 4 pounders using live bait.

Stan,

I just wanted to remind you how the sun plays tricks with your mind.

There were no big Tuc's, trying to eat the little Tuc's. The were just protecting the little one's....

Remember, Tuc's only eat gold fish feeders and 2" white senko's

You did say "hand size" tilipia, right?

Clay was telling me about how they got those 16 foot croppie poles,
20#test line (10 feet long), a hook and live bait....
They were catching 3 to 5 pound peacock bass. Aku boat style.
He has a video, but doesn't know how to get it on you-tube.

I have a 16 foot croppie pole.
