Where's the Blurgill?

Clay and I went out for a few hours with our little rods,
in search of little fish...
Got some nice peacock bass... but not the little ones under 8" we were looking for.
Got some little LMB, but not in the numbers we figured we'd catch.
Red Devils were all over the place... and just selective enough to make them a challenge.
But NO bluegill.... We looked and looked...
Clay says the "bloom" is all pau.

I figure with the larger fish hanging around...
the "little" guys went into hiding way back in the grass.
Water level is dropping like a hot potato...
Soon there won't be any grass to hide in.

Just happened to be in the area to get a shot of
Chris and Tyler with one of the peacock bass they caught.

With this size fish around...
no wonder all the little fish are in hiding.

Maybe thats why the Tucs are getting bigger, feeding on the BGs?

The Tucs are still not hitting the shad like in years past. Whats up with that?

We saw some schooling just off BBPt. and in the Main Basin... Also heading back toward Boy Scout Is..

Just splashing for a few seconds and always way out of casting distance.
Not really enough to stick around and wait for them to show up again.

Wonder if deep lures might work? (whipping rig?)
