Another Nice Fish

Another nice fish.
I was trying out a new rod today. Craig Sako was kind enough to let me test two of his new Tenkara rods. http://www.tenkarausa.com/index.php
It's a 13 foot long flyrod with no reel. Kind of like a super light cane pole. Designed for trout fishing in the small streams of Japan... the rod adapts well for bluegill, red devil, small bass & tukes in the lake. Small peacock bass gave the light and limber rod a real workout.
Craig was fishing a popping bug along the edge of the grass with his Sage "Bluegill" rod. The little largemouth and peacock bass were in the grass and would chase his popper all the way to the boat...
We're starting to see some larger peacock bass swimming around. Some of them would actually chase a fly... This was Craig's largest of the day.
Thanks Craig, I had a great time "testing" your rods.... now I know exactly which model I want to buy.
