Since my buddy Matt was down south have a good ole time, I neededed a new fishing partner.
My new partner has never fly fished before. So after a little bit of fly casting lesson, we went to the headwaters of a eastern trib to give our new fly fisher a shot at glory. Thankfully, the fish were cooperating and it took only a few drifts before...FISH ON!
We also found some brookies and our new fly fisher caught her first brook trout. None exceeded 10"...but she did catch the biggest of the day by finding the big rainbow trout in that little hole (the one in the picture was only the little one.
I think this could be the start of a happy fishing relationship. It's always nice to introduce another angler to fly fishing
