So many fish... however...

Found a few spawners... Water level was up 2 feet since yesterday so the spawning beds were hard to find.

Shane had the hot lures... he got these two nice peacock bass.

We saw so many fish.... They were every where.. they just wouldn't bite anything we had to offer. They were just swimming all around the boat. Some really big ones.

Tommy and I caught a bluegill and a red devil. Lots of aggressive red devils... Wish I had taken my fly rod along.

Lots of peacock bass up the south fork in the 82 degree water...
Good luck geting them to bite anything.

At least we didn't get skunked! Even though we saw hudreds of fish and only caught a handful, it was still a GREAT way to start the weekend! Oh yea, thanks again for the taxi service! 8)

Got four tucs in less that ten minutes. Two came on back to back cast ! I called it the attack of the quarter pounders ! These little guys were attacking that green fly with the brass bead eyes. Sean at Nervous Waters showed me Stans favorites. Had it on my bubble rig set up. None of the big fish I saw would take anything. Drowned quite a few tilapia trying, but no luck.

Water level rising....

The water level is still rising... that's good for the spawning peacock bass that were almost high and dry. Not good for the fishermen who were looking for those spawning beds.

With Oahu under a "Flood Alert" .... I have a feeling it won't be long till we see water going over the spillway.

And I was going to fish that "feeding frenzy" just before the cold front moved in.

I just hope the water stays high enough until the eggs hatch.

Hey Stan, have you tried using Red Devils for bait? Maybe you can get those cruisers to bite?

Or a 7" red streamer fly
