Fri. / Sat. Rising Water

I understand the water level came up several feet and turned the fishing action off. :(

On Wed there were 14 strips out of the water at the bottom of the boat ramp. On Friday there were 11 showing. Chris said that Sat. morning 5 were showing and when they returned around 3:00.... part of 1 strip was all that remained out of the water.

I didn't realize we had recieved enough rain in the mountains Fri/Sat to have the water level rise that much...

One thing for sure... a fast rising water level spells slow fishing action.

On Friday we went up as far as that straight away just before the North Fork Bridge.... just past Quonset Hut.

Even then the water was brown, only a few inches of water visibility....

Water was much clearer down toward Morgans Pt.

Maybe it takes time before the dirt filled water makes its way down from the mountains to the main basin? Well, time to bust out the chartruese lures!

Monday.... Chris said the water level was up to the end of the steps.... you can't walk around the end any more.

Caught peacock bass up to 4 pounds using live bait.... just keep moving from point to point till you find them.
:D

oddly enough the gauge still hasnt climbed above 68ft even with the water rising so much.pretty odd considering it was only dropped to 65ft huh!

Water in the north fork is back around its usual low level, getting clearer to. Hopefully the fishing will be back to normal by this weekend! 8)
