25 Jul Fishing & SOCAL

Fished all day on 25 Jul and only caught 1 Peacock (see Pic). Caught him on a 1/4oz spinnerbait, slow rolling, in about 15ft of water.
Also enclosed are some pics from my Family vacation in Southern Cali during July. I had an opportunity to go fishing at Dixon Lake outside San Diego. This lake is the lake where the possible World Record came from, but it was foul hooked and died a year later (25lbs). No such luck for me, just a sunburn. We fished all day, nothing. The water was crystal clear (typical Cali lake) and could see the bottom in 30ft of water. However I did see about 5 possible world record Bass. They were huge and I probably threw everything in my tackle box at them, no bites.
I was also able to fish a lake called Diamond Valley. This is another awesom lake in SOCAL. I went 2 days and caught 5 keepers each day. (see pics).
