what kind of baitcasting reel did you get? This is as interesting to me as the actual act of fishing.

Skunked,

I think you and I have the same addiction, "Tackle Ho"

My family claims, I have more fun collecting tackle, than actually going out on the water and fish.

Yes, I am a Darkside Live baiter Tackle Ho!

Well the reel is an older but fairly new Daiwa baitcasting..Got it off ebay..didnt want to spend the big $ on something I dont even know how to use yet..lol..but I been buying all kinds of fishing stuff..probally about 150 to 200 bucks in the last month and I only been to the lake 2 or 3 times..but getting myself prepaired for anything and always have something new to try..

Was the baitcaster the Daiwa Exceler? I just bought the Exceler 100SH off E-Bay but they sent the wrong model. Waiting on the correct one to come back. Not a bad deal for $79.00!!

Wouldnt this topic would make for some great stories(fish caught), fights(w/ significant other), and heartache(credit card bills)!!!

last summer when I first started fishing at the lake I just went down to the ramp and there were tons of tucs there..also that was when the water was 6 feet higher or so..they would stay in that little cove and hit the tilapia all day..now there dont seem to be any action over there..but if the water starts to rise and the cove has about 3 feet of water in there get a live tilapia baitfish and hang out over there..definate action..for now get on a boat or try to access another part of the lake..

KuricX,

Insted of fishing the ramp, I'd go over accross from Boy Scout Island where these guys were fishing.
See this post:
"We Caught Three Peacock Bass Today (July 26, 2009)"

Park just North of the bus stop where Kunea Road comes in.
Accross from Schofield Bks.

Can you show me a pic of the place? Is it behind the rock wall and it shows a sign of the fish you can catch?I was the guy that sold you the feeders at the pet store :) Got my account working again :)

It's "K" on the map.
