friday the 3rd

ramps usable for trailers but does need to be scraped a bit more to make it less of a muddy affair.lotsa glass needs to be cleaned up too, shovels and lots of elbow grease is the only way i see it.few boats out today, all shallow draft, deeper bigger boats may have a harder time launching.seems to be a few branchs just out aways too, have to be careful not to ding em as you back out. oh and be prepared for a nice brown ring and slime on everything,so if your a bit prudish about your boat just be informed ,IT WILL GET SLIMED. had a tuff day and got one bass bout 2 lbs, nice and healthy but tried all over, waters shallow up south and north forks, as in 6ft at the middle, and muddy muddy muddy.no luck deep and no luck shallow, had to pound water to get 1 fish.others had more luck, lots of fry around the banks, still tucs paired along the banks, live bait may be the way to go.no busts to be seen. "Africa" hot out there.good luck on the 4th!

Saw you working it out there. No jokes about where is my big boat ? My kayak still catches fish. Had 6 tucs in a short morning trip. All on live bait. Not sure if my new boat can launch at this level. Also, be careful walking in the water at the end of the ramp. Coming back in today, I stepped on a pretty nice Ratt-l-trap. It went into the sole of my slipper and barely missed the meat of my foot. Yikes ! I think that shovels would be the plan of attack. Powerwashing will clean off the dry land, but you would have to dig out the muck at the end of the ramp in the water. Good luck getting in... and back out !

nope, cant say much about your boat sitting home seeing as mine is too hahah just like you i got a "new" old boat and had it out once before the lake dropped.could proboly put it in but ill wait and stay in my trusty stump jumper! ever notice when the water drops and you check out your spots to find any old lures you lost you never can! but yet find everybody elses! i got like 3 traps and 2 rapalas today hahaha, sorry skunked didnt find your crankbait.saw the gate at the tower.......if thats what they are gonna fix, and man its a solid ball of rust so it needs it! as a side funny story, i had a secret spot guarenteed a fish. many years ago was a tree trunk and a pile of rubble from i guess the bridge on southfork, i always make a stop ther on the way in and often get a tuc or a bass. turns out the rubble pile was 20ft further away from the bridge than i thought and all these yrs i been fishing a pile of shopping carts and wheelchairs hahaha. lost tons of lures, no wonder but again not a single one to be found!

We saw your secret spot. It is amazing how much junk got thrown off the bridge. The wheel chair was the best ! As you look around the shore line, you can see the rubbish that people have launched down the hillside into the water.Just about everything under the sun. Toilets, sinks, couches, bikes, motorcycles, tires, batteries..... Unlimited stupidity ! How many semi trucks full of junk is around that lake ?? And how and who would remove it ?? No wonder we get hung up so much !
