Tom landed a nice peacock bass. Had several more on that came unbuttoned before they got to the dip net. Red Devil action picked up in the afternoon.
Water visibility is a foot or so. (not the 3 to 4 foot visibility we're use to.) Water level is up and down every few days making it difficult to spot spawning fish. We found some peacock bass on the beds, but only a few that stuck around for more than one cast. They just faded away into the deeper water. The many peacock bass we did see were not in the least bit interested in our lures.
It's been some tough fishing lately.
