The morning started out with lots of action from schooling fish. Mat was using a fly rod and caught largemouth and peacock bass. His young son was catching with the spinning rod.
Later in the morning when the rain stopped and the clouds cleared a bit the action slowed... With the sun providing good visibility they started looking for fish along the shore... Well, hello spawning peacock bass.
Chris said the larger spawning fish were bending my small light wire hooks. Guess I'll just have to tie some flys with heavy hooks... or those guys will have to loosen the drag on their fly reels and stop using 20 pound test leaders.
