grand stan... nows the time.

Postby clay » Fri Jun 25, 2010 8:17 am

i saw your post about the grand slam of the lake being the peacock, largemouth, and red devil. yesterday kirk and i went to check out the lake and caught a bunch of small largemouths (not to be confused with large smallmouths) and little bluegills and a number of small tucs and a few decent ones. anyway, and more importantly, we came up with the "grand stan". the grand stan consists of a bass and tuc under eight inches, a blueg under six inches and a red devil. in addition one or more of these fish must be caught while trolling the fly behind the boat. right now is a great time to get the grand stan... good times.

Now I've got direction in my life! To go for a "Grand Stan"!!! My son-in-law caught a small LMB on a castmaster at the boat ramp yesterday. I heard Dougie caught a few small Tucs as well.

Hope you're doing well my friend. I had lots of fun fishing with you and Stan. I hope we can do that again in the future. :D

No problem...

You could probably make it both bass under 6 inches... the size I've been catching lately.
My small red devil weighed more than the blugill, largemouth, and the peacock bass put together.
